Call for StartUps

This year the Sardinia Symposium has a special consideration for StartUPS!
We are extremely excited to announce the opening of a specific call for StartUPS ideas to be presented at Sardinia 2017 on Friday 6th.
An entire conference session will be dedicated to the presentation of promising Start-ups working in the field of waste management or dealing with:
Waste management and circular economy / Waste recycling and social change / Separate collection systems / Waste and Energy recovery / Food waste reduction / Leachate collection and treatment / Biogas collection and disposal / E-waste management

The selected StartUPS will have the chance to take part in the pitching sessions, scheduled for the morning of Friday 6th 2017, h. 9:00 - 13:00
The event will be coordinated by Stefano Carosio, the managing director of Unismart Padova Enterprise, the technology transfer and innovation management consulting in-house company of the University of Padova.
During the Symposium, a StartUp corner will be set up in the Commercial Exhibition Hall where the selected StartUPS may advertise their ideas and projects in a dedicated area to an unrivalled, highly-targeted audience.

Reasons to participate
In the prestigious context of the Sardinia Symposium, the pitching sessions and the presence in the exhibition area will represent an opportunity to come into contact with the world-leading experts in the field of waste management.
Selected StartUPS will have the chance
• to present business proposition to companies, public administrations and private investors
• to meet new technological partners
• to launch new services
• to find potential investors
• to explore the funding opportunities provided by Horizon 2020 and partner with leading industrial and research players attending the event.

HOW TO APPLY
Proposals must be submitted as a PDF file by email to info@sardiniasymposium.it no later than September 22nd and must comply with the template available for download. Additional presentation materials can be attached.

Proposals must clearly describe the idea, the aim of the project and the potential beneficiaries. For further information please contact the organizing secretariat at:

REGISTRATION
Following notification of acceptance, selected StartUPS should register to the Symposium by filling in the registration form to be submitted to the Organising Secretariat at: info@sardiniasymposium.it.

Registration Fees: 
€ 350 + VAT 22% (1 delegate)
€ 550 + VAT 22% (2 delegates)

The registration fee includes: participation in the StartUPS pitching sessions, exhibition area from sunday to friday 6th October (Equipment details: banner area or 1 panel 95 x 220 cm hight,, 1 small table), Start up profile and logo + link on conference website, insert of Start up brochures in delegate bags, access to all the Symposium sessions and workshops, two coffee breaks per day and participation to daily social events under the same conditions applied to Sardinia 2017 delegates.
