Publishing partnership with Waste Management Journal

We are pleased to announce that a set of Special Issues of Waste Management Journal will be compiled, based on a selected number of top research papers from the Sardinia 2017 Symposium.

Waste Management is an international journal published by Elsevier (IF 3.829) and devoted to discussion of information on the generation, prevention, characterization, monitoring, treatment, handling, reuse and ultimate residual disposition of solid wastes, both in industrialized and in economically developing countries.

The following topics will be dealt with:

1. Closing the cycle of material and residues in the circular economy
2. Aftercare and remediation of landfills
3. Optimization of putrescible organics management (food waste, animal waste, sewage sludge, etc.)
4. Waste management strategies, policies, regulations and social issues

Selection will be carried out among all contributions presented at the conference dealing with topics above. Authors selected will be invited to submit an extended version of their paper to the journal. The papers will then be rigourously peer-reviewed and tracked through publication progress.

Leading papers not specifically dealing with the topics above may be considered for publication on monthly regular issues of the journal.

IMPORTANT NOTE >> Although the deadline for abstract submission has already expired, proposals on the themes above will exeptionally be considered for inclusion in the conference programme. Interested authors may submit their abstract no later than May 2nd.
