The Sardinia Symposia confirm their global relevance and international impact.
Sardinia 2017 was attended by 676 participants from 66 nations. The programme included more than 550 scientific presentations, selected according to quality from 864 offers of papers received from 78 different countries worldwide.
The highest number of abstracts came from Brazil (11%), Italy (9%), China (7%) and Germany (6%). The papers received covered the entire range of waste management topics with a particularly strong response to Waste Minimisation and Recycling, Waste Management Strategies, Waste Management Assessment and Decision Tools, and Sanitary Landfilling.
