The Call for Abstracts is officially open for submitting contributions addressing the symposium topics. Abstract submission deadline: 17 February 2025.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Abstracts (at least one but no more than two full pages) must be prepared using the abstract template and submitted using the online submission form.
Proposals must address one of the conference topics and clearly describe the content of presentations and their basis (detailed case study, discussion of experience from practice, preliminary research data, completed research not presented previously, review of literature, administrative initiatives and regulations, etc).
Abstracts may be submitted for oral or poster presentation.
The official language of the Symposium is English and all abstracts must therefore be written and presented in English.
In addition, the Symposium may include a session to be held entirely in Italian, in order to facilitate the participation of local delegates. Italian authors may freely submit abstracts for inclusion in both English and Italian sessions.
Please note that the Organising Secretariat will confirm receipt of all abstracts. Authors not receiving an email notifying receipt of their abstract should check with the Secretariat to ensure their abstract has been effectively received.
EVALUATION
Abstracts will be selected following evaluation by an international panel of experts. Final destination (oral/poster) will be established according to the following criteria: request by the author, topic relevance, characteristics of the paper (highly specific, preliminary results, case study) and number of papers received on the same topic.
Acceptance of abstracts will be notified to the presenting author within 28 February 2025. Authors not receiving the notification of acceptance/rejection of their paper should contact the Organising Secretariat at info@sardiniasymposium.it
Please note that acceptance of your abstract does not automatically register you in the conference. Presenting authors must register and pay the entrance fee within 15 days after receipt of the acceptance notification. Only one presenting author may register for each paper. Each speaker may deliver up to two presentations during the conference.
PAPER PUBLICATION
After receipt of the acceptance notification, all presenting authors (including those scheduled for poster presentation) are also kindly required to provide a full paper to be included in the Symposium Proceedings. Papers should be prepared in accordance with the instructions for authors and their quality and contents should conform with the abstract originally submitted. Papers not complying with the conditions above will be removed from the Symposium programme.
Authors presenting in an oral session will be requested to submit their PowerPoint presentations no later than 6 October 2025.
Authors presenting in a poster session should submit the PDF file of their posters no later than 22 September 2025.
All final papers accepted to Sardinia 2025 will be published on a dedicated set of proceedings (CISA Publisher, ISBN classification). Additionally, a considerable number of leading papers will be selected for possible publication in special thematic issues on international renowned journals.
Other accepted papers, featuring a more practical orientation, may be considered for publication on IWWG Monographs on selected conference topics (CISA Publisher, ISBN classification).
For any further information or assistance regarding the submission of abstracts, please contact the Organising Secretariat at info@sardiniasymposium.it
